"I am interested in electronic clothing because of the exciting applications for textiles that can communicate, textiles that can sense vital signs for biomedical and military applications, and integrated electronics in everyday clothing for aesthetic expression."
— Kristy Jost, recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship (NSF GRFP) and the DoD National Defense Science and Engineering Fellowship (NDSEG)
A 3-dimensional finite element model created by graduate student Jerry Klinzing (advisor A. Zavaliangos) to study temperature distributions in a tablet during powder die compaction. Studying these phenomena helps to produce safer pharmaceuticals more efficiently.
