The Department of Materials Science and Engineering held its first exhibition of award-winning scanning electron microscopy images, “Small and Exquisite:  Visual Explorations in Materials Science and Engineering,” in the Mandell Theater Lobby at Drexel University January 9 through 20, 2012.

The eleven images on display showcased the artistry of the research work captured under the lens of one of several high-powered microscopes in Drexel’s Centralized Research Facilities.  A reception and opportunity to meet the researchers behind the images was held in conjunction with the exhibition.
